Modi Mandir:- Modinagar is a small town, located close to Ghaziabad, which is most famous as an educational center. Apart from this, the city is also among the leading sugar producers of Uttar Pradesh. The most popular attraction in Modi Nagar is the Lakshmi Narayan Temple, also known as the Modi Temple.
The Modi temple in Modinagar is perhaps the most notable site in the city, especially outside the state. Modi Temple is a Lakshmi Narayan temple built by Gujral Modi and is spread over an area of 15 acres. Devi Mahamaya Temple is another popular religious place in the district, which sees a large number of devotees during the festival of Navratri. Previously known as Begambad, it is believed that it was founded and ruled by Nawab Zafar Ali. The village is named after Gujmal Modi, who established a sugar mill in 1933, thus claiming the land. Begmabad was converted to Modinagar during colonial India, along with the title of Raja Bahadur with the honor of Gujmal Modi
Modinagar is available via airways, roadways, and railways. The nearest international airport to the city is the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, which is approximately 65 km and can be reached via a taxi drive of 90 to 110 minutes. The city has a railway station just 5 minutes from the city center. It is located on Modinagar – Begmabad Road, close to Sarawat Hospital. The nearest bus stop is the one along the Niwari – Modinagar route. About 15 km from the city, the distance is coverable with a 30-minute drive. Local state-transport buses and auto-rickshaws are common modes of transport in Modinagar. You can rent a car to get around comfortably, but one of the big cities may need to rent a car and hire services.
