Muniraj G SSP Ghaziabad:- The Uttar Pradesh government on sunday named 2009 batch IPS official Muniraj G as senior director of police in Ghaziabad. He was transferred from Lucknow. He was first posted in Chandauli in eastern UP.

Ghaziabad is his sixth posting after serving as SSP Lucknow.

Muniraj G a 2009-batch IPS officer took the charge following an order from Lucknow on Sunday morning. The IPS officer said my focus is on putting a stop to regular thefts and snatching on the street, apart from scaling up police patrolling in the district.

Muniraj G said “There are a few challenges in the district and I am ready for them. I will make two teams to tackle crime in each police station in the district. One team will focus on precautionary measures and the second one will solve the cases. There will be a presence in every hotspot.

“All banks have to follow the RBI guidelines regarding security. At the main gate minimum of two guards, including one who is armed, should be placed. Every gate and every area of the bank should be covered with CCTV cameras. Action will be taken against the banks that don’t stick to these norms”

Some other challenges for Muniraj G in the district are likely to be the increasing complaints of cybercrimes and solving these cases and an attack on a temple priest in Dasan in August.

The newly appointed SSP has previously held two posts in Ghaziabad. He was the CO in 2012, and then promoted as SSP for Ghaziabad city a year later. He is served as a temporary officer from 2 months since  April to June. After SSP Pawan Kumar suspended by Chief Minister (CM) and He is permanent on June 2022 as a senior superintendent officer(ssp) of Ghaziabad.
